We are members of the house of God with Jesus as the capstone. We are each as the stones of the building, the church. The church is everyone. Every stone is important in the structure, each stone with his personality or cause. The disciples were making their succession that are the Bishops. Thus, our faith is connected to Jesus directly. We have the pope as a unity figure. The pope guides the church, it is about keeping and sharing the faith. Today we pray for the pope and the intercession of saints and past clergy as with popes.
