Mary has appeared in various places on Earth with one message, return to Jesus. Someone asked her the secret to her beauty. She said, "Because I love." We celebrate Mary because no one loved Jesus more. Throughout his life, she cared for him. She stood at the foot of the cross to comfort him. We profess our devotion to Jesus through Mary. Mother of God helps us remember. As Christians we are called to love. Mary is the model of love. Because of the love, she loved and served others. When we love, we are transformed. Love helps make us beautiful. Consider Mother Theresa, she radiated love. All the physical beauty cannot overshadow love. So, this new year follow Mary's model. No other resolution is needed. At the heart of it, is a new profound relationship with God. Through baptism we connect to God. That love is visible in the eucharist. Jesus gives himself to us totally. How can we fail to love in return? Mary showed the way. Will you allow God to transform you to what you should become? Spending time through prayer is key.
