Today is divine mercy feast and second Sunday of Easter. St. Faustina had visions leading to the feast of divine mercy. People that receive communion or confess today will be absolved of sins. Do you feel ever abandoned and alone? The disciples felt as such and Jesus appeared and told them to have peace. Faith in Jesus is the source to eternal life. This gospel reading focuses on Thomas, the doubting Thomas narrative. He went to Jerusalem with Jesus expecting to die with Jesus. Thomas was practical. Jesus let him touch his wounds. Blessed are those who have not seen but believe. Apostles mean those sent. The disciples new spirit of life come from Jesus. The church received Jesus to make light to the world. Faith is a gift, grace from God. St. Paul asks we all to have faith in christ. Why do we sometimes doubt our faith? Maybe it is the thought that evil exists. But God sometimes brings good out of evil. To believe in the resurrection or deny it, God's plan is that we come to believe. God forgives us. God continues to reveal himself, he wants us to believe. Please continue to pray for the repose of the holy father. God bless you and your families. Amen
