What does God teach us with ascension? Jesus is still with us but sacramental. The Eucarist is the real presence of Jesus and through prayer. He is present when in need, a spiritual way. When he ascends he gives us the mission to accomplish it, we are the continuation of Jesus. We are continuing the mission of Jesus, a way to believe in us. He chose to believe in the church even in our frailty, through Pentecost. The church is every one of us. The ascension gives us responsibility, to continue mission. The ascension tells us where we are heading, just as Jesus. We can be comforted that our humanity is already with Jesus. What do our hearts long for? It is for being with Jesus. My the Lord give us the strength to participate in the same mission entrusted by the Lord.
