Rev. Eddie, John 10: 27-30, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Cambridge, MA GatoApproves

The good shepherd leads the sheep. A good gospel because we have a new pope. The good shepherd is Jesus, not the pope. We are guided by the holy spirit. Like the sacraments, putting together the visible and the invisible. We see the Eucarist but the body and blood is there. Two important passages from the gospel are the changing the name of Simon and when the church would be built on his rock. The foundation of the church will always remain. The second passage in Luke is when Jesus tells Peter to convert people even though he will betray him. The pope is important for unity. The pope is an instrument for it. We should act like sheep, learning from the pope so that we may be guided. Pope Leo XIV chose the motto of in the one we are one reminding us to be unified. May we also…

Rev. Humphrey, John 13: 31-33a, 34-35, Sacred Heart Parish, Cambridge, MA GatoApproves

Fifth Sunday of Easter, Pope Leo xiv performed his mass. We pray together in our mass for the divine protection and the wisdom of God will be with the pope. I suggest we each take our bibles and read the Acts of the Apostles, which will give you guidance in our church. In the Acts of the Apostles we see the works of Jesus reach the ends of earth. God can never disappoint his people. Some people did not see works of Jesus. Many Apostles became matyrs because they believed in the teachings including eternal life. The life of communion made the pagens say that these people are believers. Several obligations we have toward our faith. The first obligation is to know our faith. We know our faith by listening to the word of God. Second responsibility is to love your faith. Today is Sunday and we came to worship…

Rev. Chakwudi, John 17:20-26, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Cambridge, MA GatoApproves

If you only come to God on Sunday, our relationship will not be as strong. I need to make time for God every day. If something is important, you find the time. Is my faith a priority? Ask yourselves. No relationship works if you do not invest in it. I am not asking you something you cannot handle. I can only handle two times in a day: speaking to God at the beginning and end of day. Ask yourself, "What simple prayer can I say?" Do not burden yourself, make it simple and for you. Do I feel a change or do I just do it? Do your faith for you. Let us pray to understand a relationship with God to understand how to live our lives as Christians. Let us pray for the grace to understand what this relationship means and to put it in practice.
