The sermon of the plain is Luke's version, the beatitudes tell how we should be. When we do not need God, we are woed. The things we have will end. Jeremiah tried to tell us our need in God to trust God 100%. Sometimes we use the word trust in relationships. We have God that wants us to trust in him. When we put our hearts 100% in people we are lost. The person that turns away from the Lord will be like salt that disappears. God comes first, then you will see God everywhere. Jeremiah says we are blessed if we trust in the Lord. We have a God that is the stream that never dries. Eucharist means thanks. We are here to give thanks. Blessed is the one that trusts in the Lord, the point of Christianity. When we carry the burden, life can be overwhelming. When God is first, God will be everywhere giving life meaning and purpose. We cannot be like Christ without a healthy relationship with God. We need to talk to God every day. If it is a priority, we do it. Talk and listen to God. What a relationship looks like with God, I give God time. You need to figure out what works for you. If you have two minutes, give it to God. The Lord's prayer is everything we need to ask of God. When it becomes a habit, you will see God in your life. Prayer is simple, talk and listen. Put everything on God, focus on the Lord's prayer. Let us pray for the grace to ask what kind of faith do we have as we strive to be better Christians.
