Gospel has many sides. For this mass, we should reflect on what Jesus says. We have technology that helps the blind. Christ said what do you want me to do for you. If christ visited and asked, what would you say? I hope your response is for other people. In the gospel, more happens than physical sight. My fellow priest said I will preach of blind spots. I began to think, modern cars help us see blind spots. We need help to see them. If you do not look properly you do not see blind spots. This gospel is not about physical blindness. The person followed christ in the way because his spiritual sight was restored. The problem is our pride gets in the way when we need help, which stops catholics from the act of reconciliation. Confession is God asking what we want from him. We step away from it because we forget. We start asking God to help with our flaws, we are messed up. If we come here, we need God's help. We come to see beyond us, Christianity is not just about ourselves. We need God to challenge us to be better people. We come even if we are unworthy to be in his presence. We all need healing to see and follow christ better. Christianity is not just about going to church, we should not think what is in it for me. Do we leave a better person? I take myself to christ. The people were trying to stop the blind man. We are all messed up. I hope your response is I want to see better so I can follow you better. Remember God is with you to the end of time. We are witnesses of christ, people will see it through our actions. We need to ask to see properly to follow properly. My life is not just about me. I will see as christ sees. Our world would we better if we cared about each other. We are Christians, and if we follow Christ we do as christ. Christ never shut people down. You are taking on christ to be christ in the world. Today I hope our prayer is I want to see to eliminate obstacles for me to do as you do. Have you asked to see the common good better? You are part of the problem when you do nothing.
