We should keep missionaries in our prayers this month, intercede for them. The gospel is in two parts: Jesus is asked to increase faith and what do we do after we have done good. The context is important. The apostles question after the gospel of Jesus saying to forgive your brother. The sense is the same: Lord increase our faith. Our faith can increase. We can ask the grace of heaven to increase our faith. St Paul in second reading wrote you can increase your faith: pray, read Bible, speak to people, spend time with people that helps faith. God is the God of impossible. We can guide ourselves to greater faith. The second part, how should I behave when I do as God wants? You should realize that you are unprofitable, that you did what was supposed to be done. We are not searching for rewards. Jesus said the same on the sermon of the mountain: do not do it for rewards. Only do it to do it because it makes us closer or similar to God. Every time we pursue goodness, we are closer to God, to be unprofitable servants. Even if there was no heaven I would still be with you a saint once said. May the Lord help us to he this kind of people, only doing good for God to see and not for reward. Amen
