I am sure you know of the tragedy at a catholic church. Satan still has influence in the world. Pray as fellow travelers. I believe in the second amendment, but we do not have the right to put weapons in the hands of certain people. We have a duty as Christians to make sure all parts of government are led by the church, not the other way around. Allow Mary to intercede as we pray the hail Mary. Whenever we get full of ourselves remember, the world existed before us. Most people know nothing of us. We all end in the same place. Many times we replace wounded pride with ego, hoping others will fail also. People that truly love us stick with us. Humility is at the root of being a spiritual person. Through humility we are concerned about others. We become capable of listening to God. Pride is the opposite. We are offended easily due to pride, looking at others as pawns instead of as children of God. Pride gives entitlement. We must know the gospel as a parable, telling us how God acts. At our lowest, we know we do not have all answers and can reach the hand of God. When we are down we realize how people can abandon us. The friendship of God is evermore. God forgives no matter what we have done. God will always be there for us. No limit to love of God for us. We have to thank God for the opportunity to be humble. Peace, joy, and forgiveness must flow in. Then we can be at the banquet of the eucharist. Cane killed Able. But Jesus' blood was shed out of love. We cannot reach for mercy unless we are merciful. Jesus was willing to be mocked and ridiculed. If Jesus was humble, why are we not humble? We can be comfortable in the lowest seat. Then we experience god in our lives. If we live our lives following in Jesus' footsteps, we will glorify our lives by it.
