Today the readings call us to the same mission. Rejoice is the first calling. The first calling tells us the prophet is talking to people with troubles. They have been wishing to return home. From the dream of a bright future, disappointment exists. Hope is not something we see. Holding on to God is faith. God through Isaiah called people to rejoice. But how could they? We are called to rejoice as a call of fate, a call of hope. Let all the earth rejoice. Being a missionary just requires a smile to uplift people. Jesus wants us on board, he has a plan ahead. Carry nothing with you is what he wants because he has planned for you. Do not worry, everything is under control. Just trust in me, our calling today. God is in control. We celebrate this calling today. We have already what it takes to be missionaries. They could have easily have stopped on their way. But why is he calling us? Because he loves us. Rejoice because your names are written in heaven. Will we assent to his call?
