Christ commissioned followers reminding them that power was in him. He wanted disciples to make disciples. The trinity sometimes is not comprehended. The doctrine is put in a twin hand basket meaning that it is not understand. It started during heresy creating a hierarchy. But God is one. We hear the trinity from Genesis, "Let us." God always wanted connection, for people to be one, the union the connectedness the unity. Even people continued disobeying. The old testament shows God trying to call people back. People did not listen to all prophets. God took on flesh to show us how to act, to be inclusive. The highlight was he gave his life, showing what is love and that he can do what he wishes. Christ then tried to get people to listen. When Christ continued to appear, he tried to make people make others disciples. He told them that his spirit is always with them. If Christ was still flesh, he could only be in one place. As spirit, he is everywhere. What do we learn from Trinity? When Christ was here, he prayed to his father and said he will send the spirit. The trinity is a gift that gives unity. We cannot be selfish when baptized into Christ, we are connected. We have to see the face of God in each person, which is Christianity is a gift of love. Unity is not uniformity, not seeing something in the same way. Unity is diversity, there is beauty in difference. The problem is when it is my way or the highway. We need each other to live life with meaning and purpose, the gift trinity gives to us. It is for us to live out trinity, in diversity. Let us pray that we are one with God and with each other. We are called to love each other, let us pray for the grace to be reminded. The sign of the cross is a sign of the trinity. Let us pray for grace if we need change when needed, to help God make the world a better place. We are all siblings of the same father.
